Very thought provoking Jerry! Eeek…I thought I was past the acting like a predator but from your discussion I realize I have a VERY long way to go yet. Very sobering thought that I’ve created/reinforced opposition in my horse.
Never thought of independent feet as being tied to independent seat. I always understood the independent seat and have working to improve my seat but I really need to work on the independent feet - I let my horse move my feet too much.
I MUST get better at setting a goal and creating a plan. Too often when I play with my horse, it’s aimless or moment to moment. I also need to get much better at thinking and feeling in pictures.
