Open House at the Parelli ISC, Ocala

Had a fun time yesterday at the open house. I almost didn't go, but I'm glad I did. No horses allowed so I had time to just watch and absorb everything and visit with some friends. I met some of the participants in the fast track that starts Monday; Mariah Helms and Sarah Berg were there, and I met a lovely young woman, Connie, from Germany. She is staying with Claudia and Bill and since they had an adopt-a-thon for a dog rescue going on, Claudia asked if I could keep Connie company since she didn't know anyone. It was fun when I introduced her to Liane and Liane spoke to her in German. They had quite a conversation and I think Connie felt more at home!!

I enjoyed watching the demos/spotlights put on by the interns, externs, and mastery students. I missed alot of that at the Rendezvous since I had my horse with me and I felt it necessary to be relationship building with him instead of leaving him alone in his stall. I also enjoyed the presentation John Baar did on what it's like in the fast track; it was revealing and I have some work to do before I consider doing a fast track.

Speaking of fast tracks, I spoke to Lee Palmer and she told me how the Horseman's Series works. Since I can't get the 4 weeks off work to do a fast track, I think the Horseman's Series is perfect for me. It will cost a little more, but it gives me an option I didn't have before. I'm setting my goal of enrolling in the first 2 week Horseman's Series in October 2011, then the second one in early 2012. I have some organization and figuring to do before I decide when to do the third segment. I'm so excited about this opportunity; I can see my dream coming true where before it was an impossibility!!

How fun to be able to see one of the campuses. I would love to visit Parelli land with or without my horse. Unfortunately I do not see it anywhere in my future anytime soon. Happy Playing

Don't you just love it when you change your mind for the better? :) You've piqued my interest in the the Horsemen's series! I'm looking into to too as I can't take four weeks off work either. Thanks!

Hi Dona! Sometimes my greatest challenge is just making up my mind. Once I'm in motion, I'm glad I decided to do something!!

As for the Horsemen's series, I'm so excited about it. It breaks the "Fast Track" up into bite sized segments. I also know I can get two weeks at a time off work...never had a hope of getting 4 weeks off!! I'm glad Parelli was listening to the students that are just as dedicated as everyone else but have job commitments, etc.!!
