Went to an Ocala Parelli Players play day today at Nicole's and had soooo much fun!! It took a bit to get Renegade's attention to do the circling game but doing some changes of direction, "tag the spot" where he broke gait down to a walk, and transitions up to canter and he decided trotting a circle wasn't so bad after all. After that, circles were nice, smooth, at the end of the 22' line (I had the popper in my hand).
Someone had set up a jump and it was at least three feet high. I decided to give it a go and see what happened. I figured Renegade would, at a minimum, stop at the jump and I was right. What really suprised me is when I asked a second time he jumped it and it was from a stand still. Luckily I got it on video...you can hear me and some of the other playday participants cheering in delight when he jumped!!
We also did some weave and figure 8's online and they were o.k. but ridden weaves, figure 8's, and circles were really nice and for the most part we did it off feel and focus alone both at the walk and the trot!!
All in all it was a really fun, relaxing, inspiring day!!
